My name is Sarah J. Simon
Sarah is a filmmaker currently pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, in Film Production with a focus in Narrative Directing. Sarah received a Bachelors in Media Production, Management, and Technology from the University of Florida the spring of 2024. She specializes in writing, directing, and editing.

Her filmmaking is deeply shaped by her black community and Haitian heritage. She am passionate about amplifying overlooked and marginalized voices, using her craft to uplift narratives that are
often sidelined.
​​Her goal is to tell the stories she never saw as a kid—stories about black love, black friendship, and black life in all its fullness. She creates because she wants the next little black girl watching TV or sitting in a theater to know that she can experience these things too.
